Top News Standard Liege Confirms Toure Departure To Saudi Arabia

Yaya Toure has left Standard Liege and joined Saudi Arabia national team coaching staff.

The former Ivorian international will now work with Roberto Mancini who was his manager. at Manchester City.

Toure joined Standard Liege as assistant coach in June and after just five months decided to join Mancini.

Standard Liege confirmed the departure of Toure in a post on their verified X platform.

The statement read; “Our assistant coach has decided to join the staff of the Saudi Arabia national team. 

“There he will be reunited with head coach Robert MANCINI, who was his coach at Manchester City between 2010 and 2013.

“Standard de Liège would like to thank Yaya for his contribution in recent months and wishes him the best in his further coaching career.”

Toure could be on the coaching set when Saudi Arabia host Pakistan on November 16.
