Ghana goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott is excited to be back in competitive action after overcoming a spell on the sidelines with injury.
The 27-year-old Black Star joined Hibernian from Charlton this season but has played just two games in all competitions. He missed the 2023 World Cup with a finger injury and after making a return to action, he was sidelined again.
Wollacott is, however, back in the Black Stars frame where he will compete with Lawrence Ati Zigi and Richard Ofori for a place in the team. The player said on Ghanasoccernet: “It is very good it has been a while obviously I was struggling with injury but I feel good and I am happy to be back.
“If you remember the last time it was a difficult journey so we know what to expect we have to be prepared and take these games very seriously. I am sure we will get the victory I am confident as always obviously the last one didn’t go according to plan but we will rectify this one.”
Ghana will face Madagascar and the Comoros in World Cup qualifiers over the next 10 days.
