Women Football WAFCON: Oshoala, Nnadozie to lead Super Falcons vs Cape Verde

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has released a list of 22 Super Falcons players invited for the decisive final round of matches in the Women’s African Cup of Nations, WAFCON.

Barcelona superstars, Asisat Oshoala, and Chiamaka Nnadozie will lead 21 others, but there is no space for popular defender Michelle Alozie and Ashleigh Plumptre in the team. Coach Justin Madugu will be in charge of the Super Falcons again as Randy Waldrum will not be available for the second successive international window.

New star, Omorinsola Babajide gets a recall to the team, Esther Onyenezide of Robo Queens, Remo Stars’ Akudo Ogbonna, and Rihanat Kasali of Bayelsa Queens are the home-based stars in the team. The nine-time champions will host Cape Verde in the first-leg clash slated for the M.K.O Stadium in Abuja on November 30.
