Kennedy Boboye, the head coach of Heartland FC, expressed his satisfaction with the point his squad earned against Shooting Stars Club of Ibadan.
On Sunday night, Heartland defeated Adamasingba at the Lekan Salami Stadium in a goalless draw that lifted spirits in the Nigeria Premier Football League Match Day 11 contest.
Boboye gave the players plaudits for a job well done and told them to keep their concentration going forward for the next games.
In his first statement after taking office, the two-time NPFL champion continued by saying that they would return home to figure out how to upset Bendel Insurance in their upcoming game on Wednesday in Owerri.
“It was a good game for us and I want to congratulate the players for a job well done.
“It was a tough game but the players put up their best performance to resist the home team from scoring as they were unable to score.
“We came to Ibadan hoping for a win but the draw is better than losing the game.
“We will go back home and work on improving what we have.
“We will prepare very well for the game with Bendel Insurance and go for a win by God’s grace.”
