African players abroad Salah beats Becker and Alexander-Arnold to Liverpool award

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah has picked up another honour in 2023 after winning the Liverpool Fans’ Player of the Year award.

Salah recently reached a new milestone in the Premier League having scored his 150th strike in the competition and his 200th in total for the Reds. The 31-year-old has scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists in all competitions throughout the year as his impressive numbers earned him another accolade.

Despite facing tough competition from Alisson Becker and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah won 41 percent of the votes to claim the Fans’ Player of the Year Award for the fourth consecutive time. It’s worth noting the forward still has a chance to add to his tally before the end of the year as Liverpool have two games remaining against Arsenal and Burnley.
