Ugandan Premier League outfit BUL FC have announced the capture of Amos Kirya from Gaddafi FC.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Amos Kirya from Gaddafi FC on a two-year contract,” read part of the statement on their official website, adding: “The flashy winger shone to fame with Jinja Municipal Council, then joined MYDA FC before transferring to the Soldier Boys two years ago. Kirya scored two goals for Gaddafi by the halfway mark of this running season.”
“Glory be to God who enabled me to join BUL FC. I am joining this club because it’s ambitious and the best. Everyone wants to win and this is where I thought I could achieve that from,” Kirya said after signing, adding: “I am a winger and expect to create and score as many goals as I can to keep the club at the top.”
BUL coach Abbey Kikomeko said: “I have been monitoring him in the FUFA drum and he has been such a good player even in the league games he has played. He has been in the league for about two seasons and I think his experience will help us in the second round.
“I expect a lot from him because he is fast and good on the ball, and with the kind of the other players we have upfront and the kind of the game we play, he will give us more scoring opportunities in the final third and I believe we shall get more goals in the second round as compared to the first.”
