England FA Cup draw: Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea discover fifth round opponents

Both Manchester clubs face away trips if they are to progress in the FA Cup, after the fifth-round draw handed United a journey to either Bristol City or Nottingham Forest, while Pep Guardiola’s outfit will travel to Luton after a delayed draw was made on Sunday.

The draw for the fifth round was moved back after violent crowd trouble during Wolves’ local derby 2-0 win over West Brom saw play suspended for over 30 minutes and players taken off the pitch.

It was then made during half-time of Liverpool’s tie with Norwich. Sixth-tier Maidstone stunned Championship giants Ipswich in the fourth round as they claimed one of the FA Cup’s biggest upsets in their 2-1 win at Portman Road on Saturday, though they were denied a dream trip to one of the Premier League’s top dogs and will have to repeat their Ipswich efforts once again at Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry.

After Liverpool saw out the win over Norwich in their first game since Jurgen Klopp announced his exit at the end of the season, they will face either Watford or Southampton.

Chelsea will face a replay at Villa Park following their goalless draw with Aston Villa on Friday, with the winner of that fixture given a home tie against either Leeds or Plymouth for a place in the quarter-finals.
