AFCON AFCON 2023: CAF Appoint Egyptian Referee For Nigeria Vs South Africa Game

The African soccer governing body has selected an Egyptian referee to officiate the match between South Africa and Nigeria in the semi-finals.

The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations will see Super Eagles and Bafana Bafana square off in Bouake on Wednesday in the first semi-final.

Amin Mohamed Omar of Egypt was chosen as the guy to oversee the game by the continental football governing organisation.

Benbraham Lahlou, an Algerian, was also named as the head of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.
