Basketball AfroBasket 2025 Qualification: Uganda Hand D’Tigers Second Defeat

On Saturday, Nigeria’s D’Tigers lost their second Group B match of the AfroBasket 2025 qualifications, 72-62 to Uganda.

Friday’s 89-82 loss to Libya marked the team’s first loss of the season.

Similar to their matchup with Libya, D’Tigers only fielded nine players.

Uganda emerged victorious in all four quarters of the match on Saturday.

Both the first and second quarters were won by the East Africans, 12-7 and 29-19, respectively.

Before finishing with a final score of 72-62, Uganda led the D’Tigers with 44 points in the third quarter.

The D’Tigers’ match against Cape Verde on Sunday will mark the end of the first qualifying round.
