Premier League Arteta Attributes Arsenal Form To New Signings

Following Arsenal’s 6-0 Premier League victory over Sheffield United on Monday, manager Mikel Arteta stated that the team’s new additions this offseason have given the group a fresh perspective and are pushing their teammates to new heights.

Arsenal’s free-scoring performance at Bramall Lane attracted players like Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, who were bought in the summer from West Ham United and Chelsea. This was Arsenal’s greatest Premier League away win to date.

Arsenal is two points behind leaders Liverpool in third place with 61 points after winning their past seven league games.

When asked if the summer acquisitions had enabled Arsenal to peak at the ideal moment, Arteta replied to reporters, “Yes, without a doubt.

Obviously picking the right players that could bring something that we didn’t have to the squad, and they’re certainly doing that and improving every single player, and the mechanisms and culture around the team.

“They are doing that but there’s still the most important part of the season ahead and we know that that’s the case.”

In addition, the Spanish manager gave an update on Gabriel Martinelli’s and Bukayo Saka’s injuries. Both players did not play the entire ninety minutes.

“(Saka) was feeling a bit sick and as well we have Fabio (Vieira) who we have to give minutes,” Arteta said.

“It was great opportunity (for us) and then we had a little issue with Gabi Martinelli as well, he had a slight cut on his foot and we have to wait and see how he is.”

Takehiro Tomiyasu, a Japan international, is “very close” to making a comeback from a calf injury, Arteta continued.

On Saturday, Arsenal will play host to Brentford in the Premier League.
