Premier League Ben White commits long-term future to Arsenal

Arsenal defender Ben White has signed a new contract with the club, committing his long-term future with the Gunners.

Since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in July 2021, White has established himself as a key member of the team, making 122 Arsenal appearances in all competitions.

He has underlined his versatility during his three seasons in north London, having spent his first campaign in central defence before moving seamlessly into the right-back role where he featured in every single Premier League match last season.

The 26-year-old defender is known for his significant contributions at both ends of the pitch, which has been highlighted in recent weeks with his goal in our Premier League victory at Sheffield United – the 10,000th in our history – and his two assists in the 2-1 home win over Brentford last week. White has also been an ever-present since the January break, where Arsenal have conceded just five goals from 10 matches.

Manager Mikel Arteta said on the deal: “It’s great news that Ben is committing his future to the club. Ben is a key player for us, a top professional with a winning mentality, and one of the guys who leads by example every day.

“Ben’s ability, determination and positive attitude are so important, but he is also a great character and human being. We all look forward to continue working with Ben in the coming years.”
