Rwanda APR FC crowned Rwanda champions with three games to spare

APR FC won their fifth straight Primus National League title and following a hard fought 1-1 draw with Amagaju at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, May 12 in a 2023-24 Primus National League week 30 encounter.

The army side amassed 68 points and went unbeaten in 30 games winning 19 and drawing 11 times. It was their second time finishing the league campaign unbeaten.

The game had no significance on APR’s position on the league table as they had already been declared champions. The Kigali Pele Stadium was packed to full capacity as the Lions lighted every corner of the stands. Amagaju FC started the game brightly with Emmanuel Tuyishime and Seth Nkurunziza making incursions into the APR half.

There were no further action as the referee blew his whistle for the end of the game. APR who won the title with three games to spare have now gone unbeaten again after achieving the same feat during the 2021-22 season under the tutelage of Tunisian coach Adil Mohammed Erradi.
