FIFA U17 WORLD CUP Zambia too good for Morocco in first leg contest

Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu has commended the U17 girls national team for their spirited performance against the Atlas Lionesses in the World Cup qualifiers.

Nkandu, who took time to interact with the team after the game, says the government is happy with their achievement and will continue to give them maximum support.

Striker Namute Chileshe scored a hattrick as the girls beat Morocco 3-1 in their first leg meeting.

The two teams will meet in the second leg on June 15 with the winner over two legs qualifying for the World Cup which will be held in the Dominican Republic.
