Nigeria NFF Announces President Federation Cup Semi Finals Venue

The two teams fighting for the women’s trophy in this year’s President Federation Cup will be decided on Sunday, June 23rd, following the finals in Enugu and Awka.

In-form Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, who have already won the women’s version of the country’s oldest Cup competition, will face Delta Queens in Awka, while exciting newcomers Remo Stars Ladies will face Abuja landladies Naija Ratels at Enugu’s Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. Both bouts will start at 4 p.m.

Rivers Angels, last year’s runners-up, defeated Osun Babes 5-0 on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, while Nasarawa Amazons were ousted in a penalty shootout by Remo Stars Ladies in Benin City.

Naija Ratels also had penalty shootout jitters before defeating FC Robo Queens of Lagos at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

Delta Queens defeated Sunshine Queens from Akure 2-0 in the previous encounter in Benin City and will go all out against Rivers Angels in Awka on Sunday.

The men’s and women’s tournaments’ grand finales have been scheduled for Saturday, June 29th at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, marking the first time the city has hosted Nigeria’s oldest Cup competition.
