athletics CAA: Sore Throat Forces Amusan Out Of Team Nigeria

Tobi Amusan has withdrawn from racing in Cameroon’s 23rd Senior Athletics Championship owing to illness.

According to sources, an ailment described as ‘Sore throat’ prevented the World 100m hurdles Champion from becoming the third Nigerian high hurdler to win the 100m hurdles three times at the African Athletics Championships.

Amusan, who won the Women’s 100m Hurdles Final at the National Trials in Benin City, Edo State, aims to maintain her form when she represents Nigeria in the 100m Hurdles Heats.
