Olympic Games Zambia’s Copper Queens step up training ahead of Olympics

Zambia’s Olympic bound Copper Queens have entered the second week of preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Lusaka and looking forward to the tournament.

Coach Bruce Mwape and his technical bench is running the rule on the lasses and are expected to have an international camp in the final stages of preparation.

The team will be expected to play some top grade international friendly matches as they gear up for the tournament. Zambia is in Group B alongside USA, Germany and Australia.

The Copper Queens will kick off their Olympic journey on July 25 against USA at the Stade de Nice and will play Australia three days later at the same venue.

In the final Group B games, the Copper Queens will face off with Germany on July 31 in Saint-Etienne at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard while in the other final day clash for the group, the USA and Australia will slug it out.

Zambia has qualified for their second Olympic Games on the bounce which has added to their historic FIFA World Cup appearance.
