Transfers DONE DEAL: Humphrey Oyirwoth handed first senior contract at KCCA FC

Humphrey Oyirwoth has committed his future to Ugandan Premier League (UPL) outfit KCCA FC until the end of the 2028–29 season.

The young goalkeeper signed his first senior contract with KCCA and will be part of the 2024–25 squad. Oyirwoth has previously trained with KCCA’s reserve side, and his development has impressed the technical team at the club.

The teenager was part of the Uganda U20 men’s team that finished second at the All-African Games in Accra, Ghana, in March 2024. The player has fine reflexes and is comfortable playing from the back, among other attributes.

After signing the deal, Oyirwoth said: “I am delighted to commit my future to KCCA FC. From the first day I started training with the club, I made a vow to myself that I would sign for this club and I am glad it has happened. The hard work starts now and I have got to work my way to the top.

“I have been surrounded by wonderful goalkeepers and coaches at the club that have helped me develop into a better player and I will continue learning from them. I know I have got to work extra hard to earn my place and I will do exactly that.”

Oyirwoth is also a student at Bukedea Comprehensive School.
