Torten Frank Spittler, Rwanda’s coach, has remarked that it is unfortunate that they are once again in the same group with Nigeria.

The 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers were drawn on Thursday, and Rwanda was placed in the same group with Nigeria and Benin.

The trio is in the same group for the 2026 World Cup qualification, which Spittler considers unlucky.

” It’s actually a little bit sad that we have two teams in the group, Nigeria and Benin with whom we are playing in the same group in the World Cup qualifier, but it’s as it is”, he said,
