Football Thiago Alcantara to retire from football at 33

Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara is set to retire from football at only 33 after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich star has decided to hang out his boots as his struggles with injuries continue.

“Thiago Alcantara has decided to retire from professional football”, the transfer specialist revealed on X.

“Former Barça, Bayern, Liverpool and Spain player has made his decision.

Thiago’s passion and love for the game continues as he’s ready for new chapter in football after few months planning for it.”

During his career, Thiago Alcantara played 487 games, scored 48 goals and provided 63 assists. He won many trophies including 2 UEFA Champions League, 7 Bundesliga titles, 4 La Liga titles and 4 German Cup among others.
