Pitso Mosimane did not hide his hapiness after receiving an honourary doctorate from University of Johannersburg on Wednesday, in South Africa.
The 59-year old has been given this honourary degree for his global contribution to football devenlopment in South Africa as he coached the Bafana Bafana, SuperSport United and Malelodi Sundowns.
But also for his commitment in education with the Pitso Mosimane Foundation. “Jingles” is a serial winner whose life and career as a coach is an example for the little ones.
“I am deeply honoured and grateful to the University of Johannesburg for this recognition”, Mosimane said after receving the degree.

“I have been, and always will be, a student of our beautiful game. Football is a powerful tool for change, it is a source of hope, and a platform to educate and inspire the next generation.
“This honourary doctorate is not just a personal achievement, but a result of the hard work and dedication of all the players, coaches, teams, and supporters who have been part of this incredible journey. I have no words, I am truly humbled standing before you today.
“Education and sports are two pillars that can profoundly impact our society. My dream is to have a school of my own, where education and high-performance football development can co-exist so that the future generations can also pursue their dreams with passion and perseverance, just as I have. Through this honourary doctorate I hope to inspire these young people to also recognise the importance of continuous education,” he added.
