Rena Wakama, the coach of Nigeria’s D’Tigress, is focused solely on winning against Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The African champions will face Canada in the last group game on Sunday, and a win is required to advance to the knockout phase.

D’Tigress began the campaign on a high note, defeating Australia in the first game before falling to host country France in the second.

Canada, for their part, has suffered back-to-back defeats to France and Australia, and a big result on Sunday might propel them into the knockout stage.

Wakama was dissatisfied with the game against France, but said they were inspired for the next game.

” While we are disappointed with the result against France, we are motivated to put in a strong performance against Canada.

” A win will ensure our place in the next round,” she said.
