Ivory Coast right-winger Nicolas Pepe joined La Liga side Villarreal on a two-year deal, the Spanish club announced on Sunday.
The 29-year old was a free agent after Premier League giants Arsenal released him this summer following five years of struggle.
Pepe spent the last two seasons out on loan at OGC Nice and Trabzonspor in Turkey where he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
The 2023 AFCON winner is now a Villarreal player and will have the opportinuty to showcase his talent next season in La Liga.
“Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Nicolas Pépé for the Ivorian player to play in yellow for the next two seasons, until 30th June 2026”, the club statement reads.
Nicolas Pepe will have his countryman Eric Bailly as teammate as the former Manchester United centre-back returned to Villarreal last summer.
