Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu charged the senior national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, on Sunday to go all out and win the remaining matches in the 2024 Olympic women’s basketball competition in France.
In his greeting to the D’Tigress, he congratulated the African champions for being the first African team to get to the quarterfinals of the women’s basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
After losing to Canada on Sunday afternoon, D’Tigress became the first African basketball team to reach the Olympic quarterfinals.

Tinubu, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, praised the team for their exceptional resilience, teamwork, and diligence.
He also praised the team’s coach and managers for their diligent and dedicated efforts.
The President urged the valiant Tigress not to give up until the ultimate triumph was achieved.
He also pledged the squad and the entire Nigerian delegation attending the 2024 Olympics of his support as they raise the country’s flag at the global sporting event.
