Nigerian sprinter Favour Chukwuka Ofili is trhough to the semifinals of Women’s 200m in Paris 2024 Olympics after running her season best time.
This is a massive news for Ofili who could not take part into the 100m as the Athletics Federation of Nigeria failed to register her for the race.
For her first race in the ongoing Paris Olympics in France, the 21-year old executed a good race plan to win heat 6 in a time of 22.24s.
Favour Ofili defeated Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith who finished 2nd in 22.28s and Gambia’s Gina Bass-Bittaye 3rd in 22.84s.
