With Victor Osimhen still looking for a new club as he is leaving Napoli, a former Premier League player has urged Arsenal to sign the Nigerian forward who will surely have better figures than Kai Havertz.
The German star is a midfielder but has been turned into a centre-back occasionally by Thoma Tuchel at Chelsea and he even scored in that position to win the Blues their second-ever UEFA Champions League title in 2021.
So far, he keeps playing in that position and even at Arsenal, but according to former Liverpool right-back Steve Nicol, the Gunners better sign Victor Osimhen this summer if they want a lethal finisher upfront.
“If somebody said to you, you can either have [Kai] Havertz or [Victor] Osimhen. Are you really going to take Havertz?” the Scottish legend said on ESPN.
“You are not going to take in a million years over Osimhen. So, if you can afford it, I agree with Shaka’s point.
“When it really matters and you have only one chance in a game, again the question is it going to be Havertz or Osimhen.
“Everybody will say he scored in the Champions League final but the truth is he takes too many chances to score that Osimhen won’t.”
As things stand, none of PSG or Chelsea want to pay Osimhen’s €130m price tag set by Napoli, making his exit difficult.
