German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen announced the departure of Naby Keita only a year after the Guinean midfielder joined them.
The 29-year old is struggling with injuries since leaving Liverpool but also misconducted himself in April and has been suspended bby the club in April until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
So far, the relationship is completely broken between the former Salzburg midfielder and the German side which finally confirmed his exit on Wednesday.
“Naby Keïta will not return to the team training of the Bundesliga squad, but will continue to follow an individual training program and seek a new challenge,” the club statement reads.
“It was a very open conversation in which we jointly came to the conclusion that this is the most sensible course of action in the current situation (…) Since his sporting situation has not changed, he would like to seek a new challenge. Together with his advisor, we want to realize this as soon as possible,“ Werder Bremen’s Head of football added.
