Nigeria Women Football League NWFL champions, Edo Queens kicked off their CAF Women Champions League qualifier in the WAFU B area with a win against AS Garde.

After 30 minutes of ding-dong, Emem Essien put Edo Queens up in the 35th minute, and Suliat Abideen made it 2-0 in the 45th from the penalty spot.

The Nigerian team resumed the second half with a better effort, scoring three goals to ensure a comprehensive 5-0 triumph.

Edo Queens moved to the top of the table as Hasaacas Ladies drew 0-0 with Etincelles in the opening group game.
