The 2024 Paralympics will begin in France from August 28 as 24 Nigeria Paralympians are set to depart on a training tour in Germany.
Nigeria has participated in every successive Summer Paralympics, but has never competed in the Winter Paralympics.
Nigeria won ten medals at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games, including four golds, one silver, and five bronzes, increasing its total to 80.

To this purpose, the Paralympic Committee Nigeria is preparing a documentary for Team Nigeria Para athletes before of their training tour departure to Saarbrucken, Germany on August 12th and 13th, 2024.
Sunday Odebode, President of PCN, announced the two-day documentary in Lagos, stating that it will take place on August 12th and 13th, 2024.
Odebode, who has been visiting the athletes in camp to contribute items to improve their well-being, believes the documentary is another method to highlight the potential of Nigerian Paralympic competitors as they prepare to compete in Paris.
Nigeria will send 24 athletes to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, representing four sports in total.
The sports are: para athletics, para badminton, para powerlifting, and para table tennis. Athletics has five, badminton two, powerlifting nine, and table tennis eight.
The contingent will travel to Germany in two phases.
The first group will depart on Monday, August 12th, and the final batch will depart on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024.
