Premier League Manchester City Trio To Fight For PFA Player Of The Year Award

Erling Haaland has been nominated for a second consecutive PFA Player of the Year award, alongside teammates Phil Foden and Rodri.

Haaland had another spectacular season, scoring 38 goals across all competitions as City won their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

The Norwegian star received the PFA award following City’s treble-winning season in 2022-23.

Rodri was a major component in City’s recent Premier League victory and also helped Spain win Euro 2024.

Last season, England playmaker Foden scored 27 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer, Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard, and Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins are also in the running for the prize.

The Women’s Award will be given to either a Chelsea or a City player.

Chelsea’s Niamh Charles, Erin Cuthbert, and Lauren James have been shortlisted, along with Yui Hasegawa, Lauren Hemp, and Khadija Shaw.

The winners will be unveiled during the PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester on August 20.
