Transfers Kurt Zouma’s move to UAE Pro League collapses after failed medical

Kurt Zouma’s proposed move to UAE Pro League side Shabab Al Ahli has collapsed after the West Ham defender failed his medical.

Shabab Al Ahli had reached a deal to sign the 29-year-old French defender from West Ham and the player even travelled to Dubai to sign the contract and complete the deal.

However, the move has taken a new twist as Zouma failed his medical, which led to the collapse of the deal, with the player’s advisors hoping to work out an alternative option.

Shabab Al Ahli had hoped to sign the former Chelsea defender for him to become the club’s second major signing after “Iranian Messi” Sardar Azmoun.

Shabab Al Ahli are trying to strengthen its squad in preparation for the AFC Champions League next season after finishing second in the league last season.

They saw their rivals Al Ain win the AFC Champions League last season and they will be hoping to achieve the same.

As for Zouma, he will hope that this failed medical will not impact his career. He is deemed surplus to requirements at the London Stadium after they signed Jean Clair Todibo from OGC Nice and Max Killman from Wolves.
