Ronaldo smashed the ball home inside the box after a cutback from Sultan Al Ghanam.
With the goal, Ronaldo became the only player in football history to score at least once in 23 straight seasons.
The record dates back to the 39-year-old’s first two career senior goals, which he scored for his hometown club Sporting CP against Moreirense on October 7, 2002.
Last season, Ronaldo scored 35 league goals alone, breaking the league’s single-season scoring record.
He also contributed 11 assists, for a total of 46 goals in his 31 league matches.
