Atalanta Bergamo forward Ademola Lookman declared his excitement to take on Real Madrid in his first-ever career UEFA Super Cup game in Warsaw tonight after they won the Europa League last season.
Lookman single-handedly won the Italian side the UEFA Europa League title last season hyt scoring a hat-trick in final against Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.
With another final ahead tonight, the 26-year old is happy with the opportunity and aims to make it a special one.
“I think tomorrow [Wednesday] night is a different occasion. Playing in the Super Cup tomorrow is a different night. So, I’m excited, happy to be involved, and looking forward to it,” the Super Eagle said in his pre-match press conference.
“It’s not just me, but I think the whole squad is excited about the occasion. We deserve to be here through our hard work and perseverance. Tomorrow night is another chance to show that.”
