Ahead of the important first leg preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, the African soccer governing body has appointed Uganda as an official for the match between Remo Stars and ASFAR of Morocco.
The Sky Blue Stars qualified to represent Nigeria after finishing second in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
ASFAR also placed second in the Moroccan League last season.

Mashood Ssali of Uganda has been named the game’s centre referee by the football association.
The game is set to take place on August 18, 2024, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
Meanwhile, ASFAR’s administration has finalised arrangements to broadcast their away game against Remo Stars live throughout Morocco.
In the CAF Champions League’s first preliminary round, the Military club was drawn against Nigeria’s representative.
The African football governing body has no plans to broadcast the competition’s preliminary stages.
According to the team’s update, they would arrive in Nigeria with their entire media team and equipment to ensure a proper live broadcast of the game.
The Sky Blue Boys will host the first leg at Remo Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
