Samuel Chukwueze was instrumental in AC Milan’s 3-1 victory over Monza, ensuring the Rossoneri finished their preseason on a high note by retaining the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy in front of a sold-out San Siro.
Chukwueze, who began the game on the bench, was introduced at halftime to replace Belgian winger Alexis Saelemaekers, with the score tied 1-1. Monza had levelled the match after Milan had taken the lead early on, leaving the game in the balance when the Nigerian star entered the pitch.
Milan took the lead in the first half on a deflected rabona from Saelemaekers, but Daniel Maldini equalised before halftime.

In the second half, Milan’s substitutes played a crucial role, with Luka Jovic scoring quickly and Tijjani Reijnders securing the victory with a stunning long-range effort.
Chukwueze’s creativity and pace caused problems for the Monza defence, and he set up a golden opportunity for Noah Okafor, who was only denied by a brilliant save.
This is Chukwueze’s second trophy with Milan, following their penalty shootout triumph over Monza in last season’s Silvio Berlusconi Trophy.
With the new season approaching, Chukwueze and Milan will hope for success in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and a deep run in the Champions League.
