CAF Champions League CAFCL: Kenya giants Gor Mahia Poised for Champions League Return Against El Merriekh Bentiu

Kenya champions Gor Mahia is gearing up for their much-anticipated return to the CAF Champions League where they will face South Sudanese outfit El Merriekh Bentiu in the first leg of the preliminary round on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Juba Stadium.

The match is set to kick off at 4 pm. This fixture marks Gor Mahia’s return to the continental stage after a two-year hiatus from the competition.

The team’s resurgence is driven by their successful 2023/24 season, where they secured their 21st league title. This achievement has earned them the privilege of representing Kenya in Africa’s most prestigious club competition.

After this crucial first-leg encounter, Gor Mahia will host the return leg of the first preliminary round at home, scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 2024.
