Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC and Commercial Bank of Ethiopia have registered wins in first leg matches in the 1st preliminary round of the 2024/2025 CAF Champions League.
Fresh from winning the Tanzanian Charity Shield, coach Miguel Gamondi’s side brushed a side Vital’O (Burundi) 4-0 in a match played at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
New signing Prince Dube scored early after only six minutes. The Burundi Premier League reigning champions tried to fight back, but failed to penetrate the Young Africans defending line.
After recess another new signing Clatous Chama made it 2-0 after 68 minutes. Clement Mzize and Azi Ki also got their names on the score sheet.
