The 2024 National Youth Games have been moved forward from their original intended start date.
The original date of the event was set for September 10–20, however it will now take place from September 9–19.
On September 9th, participants will begin the main games, and the competition will last from September 10th to September 18th.

On September 19, 2024, athletes and officials will depart. With a jam-packed schedule designed to highlight the finest of Nigeria’s youthful athletic ability, the 8th National Youth Games will be held in Asaba, Delta State. August 23, 2024, to August 28, 2024, is when participants can register for the event.
Following that, teams will arrive for the Zonal Elimination phase on August 28.
Teams will start leaving on September 1st, after the elimination games, which take place from August 29 to August 31.
The final details for the main event will be worked out during a Pre-Delegates Registration Meeting (Pre DRM) that runs from September 2 to September 6.
The event this year is expected to be an exciting demonstration of child sportsmanship and an important first step for young athletes around the country.
