Senegal centre-back Mikayil Faye will leave la Liga giants FC Barcelona this summer after having agreed terms to join a French Ligue 1 side on Wednesday.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish side and Rennes reached an agreement over Faye’s transfer in France.

The 20-year old is in lack of playing time in Barcelona and Hansi Flick does not garantee him that this eason.

Rennes are expected to pay €12m in fixed fee with a 25% sell-on clause while Barcelona have an amount over €35m buy-back clause.

Mikayil Faye will sign a long-term deal with Rennes and will continue to develop in France.
