Nigerian champions Rangers and Angolan side Sagrada Esperanca will square off in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.

A spot in the competition’s lucrative spinning group stage is assured for the victor of the two-leg match.

Rangers defeated US Zilimadjou of Comoros 2-1 overall to advance to the next round.

The first leg saw the Flying Antelopes defeat US Zilimadjou 1-0 on the road.

The first leg ended with a 1-1 draw for Fidelis Ilechukwu’s team. On aggregate, St Louis Sun United of the Seychelles was defeated 4-0 by Etoile Filante.

The first leg will be held at Rangers on Friday, September 12, while the second leg will be held in Angola one week later.
