After Declan Rice’s second-half dismissal, Brighton and Hove Albion ruined Arsenal’s winning start to the new Premier League season on Saturday, drawing 1-1 at The Emirates.
After being skilfully sent in by Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz scored superbly in the 38th minute to give Arsenal a well-deserved lead at halftime.
Arsenal dominated the first half but Rice’s dismissal for a second yellow card four minutes into the second half made Arsenal’s task even more difficult.

Twelve minutes later, Brighton tied the score thanks to a goal from Brazilian attacker Joao Pedro.
After blowing late opportunities to win the match, both teams had to settle for a point each, which keeps Arsenal and Brighton unblemished through three games.
