Following Liverpool’s convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester United, Mohamed Salah announced that this would be his final season at Anfield.
With seven goals, the Egyptian is the highest scoring visiting player at Old Trafford in Premier League history.
Salah scored twice and assisted twice for Luis Diaz as Liverpool made a flawless start to life under new manager Arne Slot.

United was no match for their bitter rivals from beginning to end and might have suffered even more humiliation had Salah and his teammates converted a number of other late opportunities.
As other Liverpool players rejoiced in their overwhelming victory, Salah made headlines with his reflections following the game.
“I had a good summer, a long time to stay with myself and think positively a bit, this is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it,” the 32-year-old told Sky Sports.
“I feel I am free to play football — we will see what happens next year.
“Nobody in the club has talked to me about contracts. It is not up to me, it is up to the club.”
After George Kay in November 1936, Slot became the second manager to win a match away from home and the first Liverpool manager to win his first encounter with United since Bob Paisley in November 1975.
This maintained Slot’s incredible start to life in England.
Even considering the magnitude of the success, though, there was only one topic on everyone’s mind following the match.
