AFCON 2025 AFCON: Zambia off to Ivory Coast ahead of Elephants clash

The Chipolopolo boys are off to Abidjan where they will set up base ahead of Friday’s Group G, Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

A contingent comprising local players left for Abidjan in the early hours of Monday aboard Ethiopian Airlines. Foreign based players will fly directly to Ivory Coast with the team expected to be complete by Tuesday.

Meanwhile Libya based Kelvin Kampamba who is on the books of Al Nasr Benghazi will not be part of Friday’s game after losing his mother in Kitwe. Kampamba was due to join camp in Lusaka but was greeted with the demise of his mother.

Zambia plays Ivory Coast on Friday in Bouake before hosting Sierra Leone in September 10 in Ndola.
