Ahead of Super Eagles’ 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches this month, Augustine Eguavoen, the interim manager, has chosen Fidelis Ilechukwu, the head coach of Enugu Rangers, and Daniel Ogunmodede, the manager of Remo Stars, to help him plot the defeat of the Cheetahs of Benin Republic and the Amavubi of Rwanda.
In the previous season, Ilechukwu guided the Flying Antelopes to victory in Nigeria’s top division, with Ogunmodede’s Remo Stars coming in second.
Tomaz Zorec, a Slovenian fitness trainer, Olatunji Baruwa, a goalkeeper trainer, and Eboboritse Uwejamomere, a match analyst, will accompany them in Uyo.

The three-time African champions’ players and officials are anticipated in Uyo on Monday to begin the build-up to their match against the Cheetahs on Saturday at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, which begins at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday is when the team will leave for Kigali in preparation for Tuesday’s match against the Amavubi (Bees) of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. Rwandan time (2 p.m. Nigerian time).
