AFCON AFCON 2025: Full house in Malawi camp ahead of Burundi group opener

Zambia based trio of Chifundo Mphasi, Chawanangwa Kaonga and Robert Saizi as well as TP Mazembe duo of Lanjesi Nkhoma and Patrick Mwaungulu have arrived in the country to join the Flames camp ahead of Thursday’s 2025 AFCON Qualifier against Burundi.

Captain John Banda arrived this morning while midfielder Yamikani Chester joined the team on Monday. Defender Denis Chembezi, who plays his club football in Iraq joined camp on Friday.

The Flames will host Burundi at Bingu National Stadium on Thursday before facing Burkina Faso in Mali five days later.
