The Nigeria Football Federation’s Executive Committee has accepted the Technical and Development Sub-Committee’s suggestion that Mr. Aliyu Zubairu be named Head Coach of the National U20 Boys Flying Eagles.

Zubairu’s appointment is effective immediately. In June, he guided El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to victory over Abia Warriors FC in the President Federation Cup in Lagos.

Zubairu’s first priority is to assemble and train a squad for the WAFU B U20 Championship, which is set for October/November in Togo and will choose the zone’s representative for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations the following year.
