Sudan begins AFCON 2025 qualifiers with victory

Sudan beat Niger’s selection on the first day of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A goal scored in the second half allowed Sudan to get its qualifying campaign off to a good start in Group F.

Kwesi Appiah‘s men confirmed their good form as in the World Cup qualifiers.

Eisa in the 51st minute sent the ball into the net of Niger’s goalkeeper following a cross poorly appreciated by his defense. It was the only goal of the game that sealed Sudan’s victory before the trip on September 9 to face Angola.
