In twenty-four years, the Black Stars had not lost in the Kumasi stadium until that day.
Their last defeat on the pitch was against South Africa in the quarterfinals of the 2000 AFCON, where they lost 1-0.
After the disheartening Angolan loss, enraged supporters stormed onto the pitch, hurling bottles and other objects.
Before the terrible event began, players from Angola and the Black Stars had already fled.
