The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign for Cameroon and Namibia begins on Saturday when they square off at the Roumde Adjia Stadium.
Both teams, who faced off in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers last year, have been placed in Group C and will compete against Zimbabwe and Kenya for a spot in Morocco the following year.
On June 11, at the Estadio 11 de Novembro, Cameroon was held to a 1-1 draw by Angola, preventing them from winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for the second time in a row.

After losing in the group stage in Qatar two years prior, Cameroon has now won two and drawn two of their four World Cup qualifying games to lead Group D and secure a playoff position, one point ahead of second-placed Libya.
On the other side, Namibia lost 5-0 to the Black Sable Antelopes in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on July 7 in the 2024 COSAFA Cup final due to Angola’s superior skill and performance.
Before then, Namibia had gone six games without losing in all competitions, with three victories and three draws, including back-to-back draws in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Tunisia.
With two victories and two draws from their four Group H games, Collin Benjamin’s team has amassed eight points and is now sitting second in the standings, two points behind top-seeded Tunisia.
In Group E of the 2023 AFCON, Namibia finished as one of the better third-place teams with four points out of a possible nine.
However, on January 27, they were destroyed 3-0 by opponents from Southern Africa, Angola, in the round of 16.
