Scorpions Coach Johnathan McKinstry handed the man of the match award to defender James Gomez following his stellar performance despite yesterday’s 2-1 defeat to Tunisia.
The man of the match award is sponsored by the Scorpions’ Electronic Partner, Unique Group, and sees the awardee given the latest electronic equipment that include mobile phones, tablets amongst others.

The visitors went ahead through Ali Abdi in the 11th minute as he took advantage of the goalkeeper’s rebound to head the ball in.
Tunisia party lasted just two minutes as Gambia levelled through Ali Sowe who took advantage of a defensive error to turn and shoot and his shoot was unfortunately deflected the ball away inside the net.
Both team continued to push for the winner bit were unable to get thwarting each other moves.
However, Tunisia got the winner in the 75th minute as Mohamed Ben Romdhane managed to get a shot on the edge of the box and put the ball at the opposite post.
The victory gave Tunisia a commanding six points from two games as they currently top Group A.
