Group D of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will see Benin and Libya square off at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny on Tuesday.
The Mediterranean Knights won 1-0 in a friendly match in November 2018, marking the first encounter between the two countries since then.
Both teams will be aiming to win their first game of the qualifiers.

Benin lost 3-0 to the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday as they were outmatched and outplayed by their opponents from West Africa, Nigeria, in their Group D opening.
Les Guepards will enter Tuesday’s match hoping to restart their pursuit of a spot in Morocco after finishing in the quarterfinals in Egypt back in 2019.
The team has not appeared in the Africa Cup of Nations. On the other side, Rwanda held Libya to a 1-1 draw in Tripoli’s 11 June Stadium on Wednesday, denying them a dream start to their AFCON qualifying campaign.
Libya last participated in the continental championship back in 2012, when they were eliminated in the group stages after earning four points from three games—one victory, one tie—and placing third in Group A.
